Winter Futsal Registration
Register Now through January 2nd 

Take your soccer talents indoor for the Pike County YMCA’s Winter Futsal League! This is a chance to work on your soccer skills during those cold winter months. A unique brand of indoor soccer that will challenge your ball control, pace, and accuracy. The challenges of this futsal league will directly translate to your success on the outdoor soccer pitch.

Winter Adult Basketball League
Register Now through January 2nd

Bring your ‘A’ game for the Pike County YMCA’s Adult Basketball League! This friendly yet competitive environment will provide a chance for old friends to reconnect and new friends to meet while playing the game you enjoy. Employers, register your team today! The Y’s basketball league will allow you to build a stronger bond with co-workers outside of the workplace that will transfer to better teamwork in the workplace.

Winter Youth Volleyball League
Register Now through January 2nd

Join us for the Pike County YMCA’s Youth Volleyball League. The Y’s Volleyball League promotes skill building as well as teamwork in a friendly competition environment. As well as allows children and parents to meet new people and form new relationships and/or bonds. Girls and Boys alike are encouraged to learn, challenge, and expand their volleyball skills.

2011 FALL SESSION OF YOUTH SOCCER

Become a YMCA Lifeguard!

Our next lifeguarding course will begin in March. The class will certify students in CPR/AED and First Aid for the Professional Rescuer (RED CROSS), Emergency Oxygen Administration (RED CROSS) and Lifeguarding (YMCA). This course will teach the student lifesaving skills while instilling the values of the YMCA. Participants must be sixteen years of age by the last class. Yoga

This class helps individuals to enhance their health, happiness and peace of mind by balancing their mind and body. Individuals will learn how to allow their bodies to release tension due to the stressful demands of everyday life and help to restore a peaceful balance to their body and to life. Yoga techniques allow for the release of strain and fatigue from the body, helps to clear the mind, restore energy to the body, and improves balance. Other positive benefits yoga can offer is improved sleep, increased concentration, and higher levels of alertness.

Glutes & Abs:
“Slim Your Waist and Flatten Your Tummy!”

This class will work your glutes (bottom) and abdominal (stomach) muscles through a structured workout routine. The class will target the specific areas of your abs, glutes and thighs and help you tone and tighten those areas. Is it time for the belly to be gone or to have a smaller waistline? Then this class is for you.

Low Impact Ball Aerobics

Ball aerobics is a great way to get in shape! This class consists of using an exercise ball or “Swiss Ball” and lightweights that are used to do a variety of different exercises. Some of the benefits to doing ball exercises are development of core muscles, muscle toning, flexibility and balance. Individuals have the flexibility to work at their own pace and gradually increase weights and exercises. This low impact fitness class can also meet the fitness needs of individuals of all ages.

Low Impact Step Aerobics

If you're a person who loves to take step aerobics for all the fun, music, and the quick results but it's a little too challenging then the Low Impact Step Class is for you. This class is perfect for beginners to learn all the basic moves and get a great workout.

Advanced Water Aerobics

Looking for a fun, friendly way to exercise without impact on the joint? This class is great for those who prefer a high intensity cardiovascular and muscular conditioning workout. no swimming skills are needed for class. This class consists of both shallow and deep-water exercise (floatation belts are used for the deep water). Class is finished with 5 to 8 minutes of abdominal burning workout.

Beginner Water Aerobics

Low impact water aerobics is designed to burn calories, while improving your endurance. A stimulating warm-up will start this program to ensure an effective workout, followed by twenty minutes of exhilarating low impact aerobics, and finished with a soothing cool down that will leave you feeling great. No swimming skills are needed but there are shallow and deep-water exercises (floatation belts are used for the deep water).
