Summer Day Camp
A State Licensed
School Age Care for students in kindergarten up to the
age of 12 during the summer. The Y knows parents have to
go to work and that activity and safety for their
children during the summer is a great concern. For this
reason YMCA’s across the country offer summer day
camping programs to fill in for parents while they are
at work and Pike County YMCA is no different. Our
program will feature theme weeks with crafts, games,
swimming, fitness and much, much more for your children.
Parents may bring their children to the Y as early as
6:15 am and pick them up as late as 6:00 pm. The Y
campus boasts Y Land Playground, outdoor playground,
gymnasium, racquetball court, outdoor basketball courts,
soccer fields, walking track, Kidz Smart Fitness Center,
and indoor swimming pool all for camp counselors to plan
activities. Parents are asked to pack a lunch, provide
swim suit and towel. The Y offers campers breakfast,
morning snack, and an afternoon snack in conjunction
with the Ohio Department of Education Food Program.
Summer Day Camp at the YMCA means peace of mind for

Preschool Summer Camp
A State Licensed
program for children ages 3 – 5 years old. All though
school is out for the summer the Y knows parents are
still working and that activity and safety for their
children is a great concern. The Y offers the perfect
solution with our preschool summer program. Although
curriculum is not part of the summer program our
teachers continue to offer Arts & Crafts, Creative and
Dramatic Play, Story Time, Listening Centers, Activity
Centers, Swimming, Playground and Y land time daily, and
great fun. Y Staff prepares breakfast, a morning and
afternoon snack in conjunction with the Ohio Department
of Education Food Program while parents are asked to
pack a lunch for their camper. Program hours are 6:15 am
to 6:00 pm daily. Summer Day Camp at the YMCA means
peace of mind for working parents.
