YMCAs have been teaching people to swim for more than a century. In YMCA aquatics programs, children learn to be safe around water and they feel the sense of accomplishment that comes with learning something new in a positive, caring environment. Kids can develop lifelong skills that can help them stay healthy.
Learning to swim at the Y is more than stroke development. Children learn in small groups of kids close to their own age and skill level facilitating the students' socialization skills. Our positive, caring environment promotes learning and a sense of accomplishment while learning how to stay healthy while swimming.
